In planning and executing the Hsinchu County Government exhibition booth, the Yu-Geng Exhibition Design team invested not just design resources but an entire system that goes from strategic thinking to on-site implementation. The core goal of this project wasn’t just to “make a visually appealing booth” but to let visitors quickly understand Hsinchu County’s achievements in AI and smart cities, leaving a clear and lasting impression.

During the early stages, we first focused on "content sorting and strategic positioning." Facing multiple departments’ initiatives and results, without a clear structure, the information could easily become chaotic and hard for visitors to absorb. So, the team divided the content into core areas like “Smart Governance,” “Smart Living,” and “Smart Industry,” then categorized it according to different departments such as the Transportation, Education, Health, Fire, and Cultural bureaus to establish a clear information hierarchy. This step formed the key foundation for the overall design success.

Next came the spatial planning. We adopted an “open, surround layout” so the booth could be accessed from all four sides, avoiding crowd congestion from a single entry point. At the same time, a raised main visual wall created a sense of enclosure, giving the booth a strong presence in the exhibition hall. This design not only enhanced the attraction factor but also concentrated the brand image, allowing Hsinchu County Government’s theme and positioning to be recognized from afar.

For the visual design, the team chose “Tech Blue” as the main color, paired with AI, 5G, and smart application graphics to create a vibe that’s futuristic yet professional. The title, “AI Illuminates Hsinchu County,” was enlarged to serve as the visual focal point, so visitors could immediately grasp the theme. Additionally, we integrated graphics and text to turn complex policy content into easy-to-read charts, images, and keywords, significantly lowering the reading barrier.

One of the highlights of this project was the “3D Department Cubes” we designed. Each department’s name was displayed in different colors on cubes and stacked to form an object that combines art installation with information guidance. This not only made the display visually vibrant but also allowed visitors to quickly identify different departments through color, boosting interaction and memory. These cubes also became a photo-check-in spot, further increasing booth exposure.

For the content walls, we emphasized “one theme per wall.” Each wall clearly presented a key area, accompanied by case studies and real-life applications, so visitors could quickly understand the content. For example, smart transportation, healthcare, and education were all presented with a combination of images and text for efficient communication.

During construction and execution, we put in a lot of effort as well. From structural safety and material selection to lighting setup, every detail was carefully planned. Lighting wasn’t merely for illumination but for guiding eyes; the team highlighted key visuals and essential information. At the same time, all outputs and structures were made to high-quality standards to ensure optimal condition throughout the exhibition.

The final result clearly shows that our design strategy was successfully implemented. ...
First, in terms of attractiveness, the booth creates a strong landmark effect within the exhibition hall, effectively gathering crowds. Second, in terms of information delivery, visitors can quickly understand Hsinchu County Government's concrete achievements and applications in smart city initiatives. Finally, in terms of memorability, both the overall blue tech style and the three-dimensional cube design leave a deep impression.

In summary, the Yu Geng exhibition design team, through intensive early-stage investment and precise design translation, successfully transformed complex government content into a clear, appealing, and communicative exhibition space in this project. We didn’t just create a booth; we helped Hsinchu County Government build a smart city brand stage that can be seen, understood, and remembered. The exhibition design not only shapes the space but also becomes an important medium for conveying the city’s vision, presenting policy concepts and future imagination concretely within the exhibition area.
