Lin Zhengjie (November 8, 1952 – June 3, 2025) was a veteran politician in Taiwan. Born in Yunlin, he served as a Taipei City Councilor and a Legislative Yuan member, and was one of the representative figures of the non-party movement, known as the "street little tyrant." He was a founding member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and was regarded alongside Chen Shui-bian and Hsieh Chang-ting as one of the "three swordsmen of the non-party movement." Lin Zhengjie was a prominent representative of the non-party movement in Taiwan during the 1980s, with a clear political stance, opposing the Kuomintang's authoritarianism and later opposing independence while embracing a pro-unification position. He drove democratic reforms but also stirred controversy due to his aggressive style. Despite suffering from cancer in his later years, he remained active in politics, maintaining a high level of social engagement until his passing.
